With the unfortunate Covid-19 situation currently affecting many regions of Australia the team at Aeroflow Ouitlaw Nitro Funny cars and Palmyra Dragway have decided to reschedule what was to be the October 2^nd Nitro Showdown event to October 1^st 2022. With uncertainty around lockdowns and border openings, the tough decision had to be made to reschedule the event.

“Palmyra Drag Racing Club are very disappointed that we are again having to postpone the Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Car show to our region, we are however still working hard to bring a great event with the Help of Mackay Regional Council”. Said Club president Glen Cunningham. “On the 2^nd of October we will now be holding the Sugar City 1000’ event which will feature Pro Rotary Vehicles, large HP in small cars and street Rotary action, We will also have some 4Cyl Supercharged Top Fuel bike Grudge Matches, as well as the re-scheduled Round 5 of the Palmyra Drag Racing Clubs Track Championships, So rest assured we will still bring the action to the track.”

Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny car series manager Morice Mcmillin shared in Glens thoughts, “As a series I know we wheere all looking forward to getting up to Mackay and putting on a show in October, Unfortunately that will have to wait until October 1^st 2022, Covid might be delaying this event but we are determined to make it happen for our Central Queensland Fans.”
